I know what u mean. All of the years in Alaska with the looooooonnnnnng cold dry winters. Fairbanks, Rampart, and Moosecreek area. Average or 30 to 68 below, it never really felt all that cold.
I am freezing my arse off here in Maine. The cold and dampness cuts right to the bone here @ +32 degrees. Also the wind. I had foregotten what real wind is.

Nope. Just a po' boy. Can't afford all those hand cannons! When I bought the S&W Mod. 29, it claimed to be the most powerful production pistol on the market. (It's been a while.)
I do love the .308 Win. Just don't have one right now.Never had a 7.62x51.
And......I have been collecting for some time now. I regret not acquiring a few others when they were (more) affordable. A Python, for example
