In my EDC Ruger SR9c, its loaded with 85 gr HP DRT's. I've got a life long buddy thats retired police/tact unit and was responsible for testing bullets for his dept. He found the CCI. Gold. Dot Speer. 124 gr + P does extremely well for those that carry a 9mm. It has the same punch has a 40mm or 45mm but in a smaller round. I have yet to try them personally but soon will.
I do like the DRT's, the 85 gr HP's really help on the double tap when you want to make sure an attacker or intruder doesn't get up plus the expansion is extremely nice.
Underwood 115 gr Gold Dot +p+ in 9mm
Underwood 135 gr in 40 S&W Glock Mod. 27
Federal 124 gr HST in 357 Sig
Federal 230 gr HST +p in 45 acp
Prefer higher velocity in SD loads, especially short barrel Mod 27.
My primary carry handgun is chambered in .45ACP. I have loaded it for many years with the Winchester Ranger 230 grain +P, T-Series. However, Hornady's press release this week has my curiosity piqued. Hornady now offers the .45 ACP in their "Critical Duty" line. I understand it is a +P load with a 220 grain "Flex Tip" bullet. I intend to investigate.

Interesting information. If that is the case I would carry the .45 Critical Duty rather than the .45 Gold Dot.

They have the CD line in reloading supplies? I looked a while back and could NOT find any reloading lead with the flex tip. I cant wait to get my hands on some CD for reloading !!!
I have never checked setback, no need too. In most cases the chambered round in my EDC remains chambered throughout the month and that round and the rounds in the magazine would be fired at my monthly range visit.
