I too am an old fart..62 years young and have been reloading on and off for about 30 years myself. What got me started was steel silhouette shooting years ago and worked on .41 mag and .44 mag loadings plus some older wildcat loads. Eyes are bad enough now that shooting for distance now is out of the question. Great hobby!!

I like these old guys, they're making me feel young! (tell it to my arthritic knees at @#$@# 43)

been reloading seriously for 10 or so years, have to to keep the cost down, and i like old surplus stuff, that makes it all but mandatory

Started reloading with my dad in 1973. Got away from it for a long time but started again a couple years ago.

Current setup.

Been doing it for over 30 years. Started casting my own bullets a few years back.

Thanks Shooter. The press that you can see numbers 9 & 40 on actually is a 3 stage press. I have it setup for sizing the boolits I cast. It is set for 9, 40 & 45.
That bottom pour melting pot in the pic is new to the setup. Man does that make casting easy. Much better than the old dip and pour method. When I cast, I slide that melting pot out in front of the brass tumbler and put a pan of H20 on the left of that pot for water dropping the boolits.

I'm also a reloader. Your handloads are more consistent and much more accurate than store-bought ammo. Plus, in times of scarcity of ammo i stores, you will have ammo. I like that!

Just got into it about 9 months ago and really really like it. I figure it cost about the same as "cheap" ammo to run quality hollow points with a quality powder.. The groups are way way smaller and a whole lot less of the.... bang, bang, bang, BANG, bang, BANG!! syndrome. EVERY round sounds and shoots the same, unlike some cheap bulk ammo. I swear I have had bulk ammo where a few had to be very HOT loads and a few on the low side.

lee 5 stage progressive press I only use 4 stages tho . I single stage it for removing primer, and use a lee hand primer to seat them. Too much going on with the press pushing out a primer, installing one, re sizing a case, seating a bullet and factory crimping one all at same time. Im still new yet lol with primed brass, the case feeder and bullet feeder it can turn out rounds at a pretty high rate of speed.

Been reloading for 5 years and like the accuracy you get from finding out what your guns like.
