I work in a club warehouse store ( I won't say the name) . One day a man walked in with a large frame 1911 style gun on his hip, 4 of the employees were freaking out, calling mgmnt etc. I had to inform the mgr that open carry is legal and acceptable. They still had a fellow shadow him to which I complained that he was being unfairly treated.

It depends. In public I used to carry my ruger sr40c but I sold that to soon get my XDm40 that will be a daily carry but outdoors or the woods I take my 44 magnum and I usually have my 9mm within reach at night, being as its the only one with night sights.

I am really surprised at how close the #'s are in this poll. At this point of the game, if we grouped the neutered 9mm [9x17, otherwise know as 380] in with the 9mm Parabellum [9x19] it would be a dead even race.

My EDC is a Glock G30. Lately I have been carrying my XDS.
My XDSC9 is my BUG.

I voted 9mm because of yet I have not been able to shoot my XDs. Once the weather allows that I will be carrying the XDs. While I have every confidence that the XDs will function as well as the XD9 I'm just not comfortable carrying something that I have not function checked....a lot.

I also believe in the big hole therory. I carry two .45s XDM and XDs.
I tell everyone a 9mm they keep coming a .40 stops them and a .45 turns them around and sends them back the way they came from!
