Cold Steel knives are exceptionally sharp for sure. They are good knives too. I tend to look
for a knife that can be sharpened to a very sharp edge and will stay that way a very long time.
    Plus I look...

Very true Art. My dad not only taught us to sharpen knives but he made sure we had a good knife
to sharpen. He bought us knives as Christmas presents often enough that I didn't need to buy my

Jeff, the key I've found for a keen edge, is keeping that same angle for the WHOLE blade length
including going around the curve to the point, following the pattern off the tip. The use of an

The sharpest knives I've ever bought (as they came from the factory) were all Buck knives. A

I love my Kershaw Ken Onion Blur. It's everything I want or need in a knife. I own a bunch of
knives and I've owned a lot more over the years and this is the best one yet. I've had knives
    that were pr...

For SD I use a gun. For work I use a folder because they are so much easier to carry. If I was
hunting something big enough to require a large knife to skin I'd want a fixed blade but I
    don't hunt suc...

Count me in. I've been wanting an off site place to keep track of my guns and another year of
    NRA membership is always good.

It depends on the gun I'm carrying. I've been using Hornady Critical Duty in my XDm .40. I use
the short barrel Speer Gold Dot in one .45 and the regular Gold Dot in another.
