I have checked the on line ammo dealers that I have done business with in the past, all have raised their prices, some have doubled their prices. I e- mailed the one dealer that I have used most often and questioned the >$100 increase in the cost of 880 rounds of 7.62x54 and the 100% increase in .40 cal ammo. I haven't received a reply and doubt that I will.

What am I to do? Never order another round of ammo from them.

Oh wow, I have learned by example what the term gouging means. Hopefully things will settle down and prices will go back to close to normal.

3T I started getting ready back before the scare of 08.
This pic is a year or so old so it had grown slightly since then, but I try to keep the stockpile I have, while I am constantly on the lookpout for more.

    Not to my knowledge RJB.

Reloading is a great way to keep suplied during times like this. That is if you actually stock up on primers and powder before a time like this begins. Thank god I also stocked up on both so I could keep reloading also. I only reload 9mm & 4o S&W but that is what I shoot the most. Next to 22lr that is.

DONT even look at auction sights like gunbroker or even armslist with private sellers just raking people over the coals !!

spam cans of 7.62x39 are going for $100 over what CTD has them listed for. CTD is out of stock tho so IF you want them you got to pay I guess is what their thinking....???...

Well as ive stated in other areas you have to keep ur eyes open for the deals. I make calls to local stores and they are good enough to hold ammo for me. My last score was Remington Luger UMC 9mm for 11.99 a box and of course I bought all they had. I also love blinking and keeping in practice with my .22 so that helps keep the cost down,,but YES ppl do gouge,,,but not everyone,,everywhere. Shoot straight and true my fellow XD FORUM friends.
