Both calibers have their merits...big and slow or light and fast...

but shot placement and practice with which ever caliber you choose is the key.

My choice for personal protection... .45 ACP !! ( I'm old school... )

Would not want to get shot by either. I have both but carry 9mm. I haven't found a 45 that meets my requirements for carry. If I am worried about performance, +P works for me.

Thank you sir. We do have one XD45. It is a nice gun and accurate. I carry a Sig P938 and am pleased with it. I'm also a sig fan and a 1911 fan as well.

If it goes bang, I usually like it. I think the XD is one of the best guns for the money on the market for a polymer framed gun ..
