We have all laughed and joked about our ammo on hand and the need to stockpile and store ammo, and rightfully so in the past, but today, IMO, it is a must based on the intentions of our present leader. At one time I kept my ammo in a safe, but the amount soon outgrew the safe, and I switched to a lockable steel hazardous material cabinet. This method was short lived, according to my wife the cabinet was to to ugly. For the past 20 or so years I have been using surplus .50 cal ammo cans segregated by caliber and intended use (target or SD/HD) stored in a spare bedroom closet. I also have all bug out ammo cans marked as such to match the needs of my bug out weapons. The remaining ammo, if needed, will be distributed to my kids and/or friends. In the event the SHTF, or any other type disaster, as we all know one must be prepared before hand. I am not paranoid, I am prepared for the "What If".
