The only real way we'll get some common sense laws regarding carry from state to state. Just imagine if we had the same convoluted laws that varied from state to state when driving your car. Yet gun owners are expected to be knowledgeable of every law, every situation in every state they travel in.

I see what you are saying.
To me it's up to the individual to know the state laws are you're traveling in whether is a drivers license or gun permit.
Whats convoluted is the reciprocity gun carry laws from state to state.
Making it legal to carry with a permit nationwide would eliminate that.
