As above really. Am considering getting an XD ( in what caliber, not sure yet), but have looked at some XDm and XDs at LGS. The XDm seems pretty nice. I have seen few few XD except online, none I could hold at a LGS. Are the XDm's really any better than the XD for the money? I kind of favor the XDm but for much less I can get an XD online. I know the sights are different, but they can be changed out ok on the XD can't they? It looks like they can be. Anyway, those of you with more knowledge let me know your thought! Thanks in advance!

I would have to say yes. My two biggest complaints about the XD are trigger and top heavy. Both are fixed with the XDm IMO. Much better trigger on XDm and the little bit taken off the slide where it angles in instead of the blocky look makes a huge difference. With a full clip the XDm is way better balanced. Match grade barrel is just icing on the cake. More accurate at longer distances. My suggestion would be find a lightly used XDm for the price of a new XD.

I found a 3.8 compact in 9mm on a Facebook BST forum. Got a good deal on it there. There was one on buds website for $479 that I'm pretty sure is still listed. If your patient you'll find a good deal on one. Best hand gun I've ever owned. I was in your predicament when I got mine. Loved the XD so much didn't see how it could be made $100 better just by adding an M at the end lol. But they did it. Awesome pistol.
