So after seeing threetango's lurking thread I decided to join up. My first pistol ever was a Springfield XD .40 service model. I shot my highest qualifying score ever with it. A 497/500, not bad for a rookie. Now, several years later and policy vhanges have pushed me into a Glock for my duty weapon but I still carry a XDs .45 for off duty.

Welcome fensket, glad you decided to chime in. I'm a .40 fan too. That's my .40SC in the avatar pic. Like you I also have the Service model.
