cleaning corrosive ammo

Just bought a Mosin Nagant. The ammo you can get is corrosive surplus stuff. What is the best way to clean your barrel after some well spent time with a cool rifle?

Soap and water.................

Any specific soap? Then after the usual solvent and oil i assume.

Any dish or laundry soap, liquid is easier to work with. Use HOT water to wash and VERY HOT water to rinse. A hair dryer can help if the heat of the metal does not evaporate the rinse water.
