What is your cary style, IWB, OWB, behind the back, shoulder? There are many options out there. Answering that question will narrow the options down however, Just like it is impossible for us to tell you what handgun will fit your hand best, it is impossible to tell what holster is best for you. We can tell you what holster we each like, but as you can see by the answers in this thread, we all have our own carry styles and holster preferances.
Myself, I prefer a OWB, with a FBI cant, in the 4 O'clock position. I had this holster custom made for me because, after about a 1/2 doz tries, I could not find a manufactured holster that I liked.

This is the best IWB holster that i have ever owned. Larry is a great person to deal with. If you don't like his holsters just send it back. Full refund no questions asked I own two of them of them. Both times i recieved the holster in less then a week. In fact the first holster i ordered, when i was living in Alaska, arrived before he even recieved the check in his mail.
He has also made some custom things for me at a very low cost.

Winthrop and Blackhawk make some nice holsters, all depends on how much you want to spend, Also Uncle Mikes makes some nice ones too.

I just got the El Paso Saddlery Crosshair for the XD-45 Tactical 4 inch and it fit my XDM-45 compact perfectly.... Hard to find a holster for this model...

I too have that small collection box of holsters. I have found my match from N82! This is by far the most comfortable IWB holster I have found. This may have to do with the fact that I am a little larger than the skinny athletes who carry... This holster allows me to have the holster against my skin in the hot summers of SC and FL... the Crossbreed was a good choice, but it became very uncomfortable in the summer and sweat would soak thru. The N82 doesn't soak thru and is comfortable to wear while working around the fields and horses... I have an N82 for my XDm and a smaller N82 for my CZ83... I am done looking and buying.. N82 for me!!!

Tactical Tailor Pouch

Not for quick draws, comfortable, but not obvious. I utilize this as my daily carry when I do carry some of the time. The outer pocket is perfect for cell &/or wallet, the zipper to access is smooth when pulled, I have the zipper staged to my liking when practicing draws.
