As a strict Jeffersonian Constitutionalist, I firmly support Constitutional Carry...
and I'm convinced that the vast majority of responsible, law-abiding adult citizens (who are willing to - legally - purchase a handgun and all the associated gear) will be fully dedicated and responsible enough to actually obtain all the knowledge, training, and experience about their weapon that they need.

Wonder if any were carrying in the Florida tragedy ?
I sure would like to have seen where someone with a gun took this terrorist out before he killed so many and of course Obama jumped right on the gun control wagon. The guy bought the gun legally and had been interviewed by the FBI 3 times.

I can see it both ways. Here in Indiana you need a permit but you don't need any training like he says in the article,they do do another background check and fingerprint you though.

I don't typically go to bars or clubs. That said, I don't go anywhere unarmed... Ever!
I'm probably in the minority on this, but I lean more in favor of permitted carry. I agree with Joe, however I also believe that there are responsible, law-abiding adult citizens out there who would consider themselves knowledgeable enough to properly handle a firearm while in fact the opposite is closer to the truth.
I also believe that there's a huge difference between home defense and carrying. Carrying a firearm requires training, in my opinion. I don't mean the level of training that some here have, but there should be a minimum requirement for the responsibility that comes with carrying a firearm.
