I just wanted to post up a few pics of a odd old rifle I own. This rifle is a Stevens 1894 Favorite that is marked 22LR. However when I try to load the 22LR into the chamber it falls right into the barrel. So I know that the favorite was also produced in a 25 rimfire I decided to try a 25 into the chamber. Bingo it fits.
I know I am not the only person with a 100 year old, or any age for that matter, firearm that is mis marked, so does anyone else have a mismarked firearm?
In this pic you can see the 25acp in the chamber and the 22 Long Rifle marking on the barrel.
Here is a 22LR inserted into the chamber backwards.
Here is a 25 inserted into the barrel. You can see it stops right at the brass.
