Going to the range today. Haven't shot in over a year. Going to shoot SA 1911 and XD9. Going to shoot at NRA pistol instructor qualification targets, 10 rounds at 15 yards in a 9 inch circle. Depending on which caliber I can control better will decide if I buy the XD9 or the 1911 Stainless Loaded model.

I can't even imagine going that long without shooting. Sounds look two good options. I like both. Apples and Oranges.

Well, I did get to the range and found I shot tighter groups with the 1911. Guess I'm buying the loaded stainless as my primary and get the XD9 later when I go for my CCW

Just to update, I finally got the money together and I will be buying my loaded stainless 1911 tomorrow. Thanks to California rules, I can't pick it up until my birthday on June 28th.

Well, I have already shot the same model at the range and shot amazing groups with their rental gun that has probably had thousands of rounds through it. I can only imagine how well I will shoot with a new one.
