I have one problem with Dick's in my area, you buy a gun from them, but are not allowed to take procession in the store. They escort you to the door and then give you the gun... On my one and only gun purchase I thought I had gone from a law abiding customer to a suspected bad guy and immediately asked for a refund and I have not set foot in their business again....

Question; Would you buy a car from a dealer that would not allow you to drive it off their lot, but only allow you to take procession at their exit to the fronting roadway?

Not only Dick's but Gander Mtn, Wal Mart, Academy and others escort you to the door and then give you the weapon.
Why, probably some corporate lawyer thought this up for liability.
Funny though because I can go in the store with a loaded concealed weapon with no problem.

Not true for the Gander Mountain in Palm Beach Gardens Florida, i have purchased several handguns and several rifles from them and was not walked to the door. Gander does overprice their merchandise but they do have the best selection of guns, fishing gear etc and the best customer service in my area, plus they place their additional warranty on most guns.
