due to peer pressure of fellow Forum members- I was forced to purchase this Emerson ETAK B

* thought's I LIKE - a different type of deployment of the blade then I am use to , but I will adapt .

* I have carried a Kershaw same knife - 15 yrs - accustomed to the thumb flick -

Still in the break in period - like the video said - good comfie Grip and for sure has a nice sharp bite like a great white -

* I like the all black - low profile - unlike my shiny kershaw
( i still have love for her)

* One thing I noticed I was attempting to "Flick" the blade out - the Release to close the blade locks in pretty tight - but I suppose its due to being a new blade -

* you pay for what you get - Solid - * this is funds I would usually allocate for range ammo - but not this time

just noticed one thing though the linear lock - goes really far to the right - so depressing the Linear Lock takes some pressure - should be smooth like the video https://youtu.be/qPjZHU8_eiY

other pics i have seen its at a 12 0 clock position

- mine is literally at the 1 o clock - and the pic off the the linear lock is at 12 oclock -

you think due to it being a new knife - break in period? for now i have contacted the Authorized dealer and asked ..... boo

Here's my Emerson CQC 7 and it's about the 11 o'clock position.
Don't know if it makes any difference but let us know what the rep says.
To be honest mine was a lot less in cost and to me looks better built ?

* i have been practicing the "Wave" Feature on it - it does whip out that blade quickly - I been working it a little more - it does feel solid in the hand - like in the video -
* I just think my OCD kicked in - but I just wanted to make sure i did not get a Lemon .

Emerson CQC 7 is NICE !!!

* I have not held a CQC 7 , but I really like how Emerson made the handle on the ETAK - sure Grip if blade is dispatched - I think I am so accustomed to the Kershaw - thumb release -
* this is a different type of blade and platform -
well see what the Rep says :shooting::spot:

*KNEW it
Bet if you sent it back they would take a thin flat bar or long thin needle nose pliers and bend it back to the left.
If it doesn't interfere with the action no biggie but I'm glad you let them know.
Write them back and tell them you would like and autographed photo of Ernest for your troubles. :D
