The 5.7 is in service now with military and police forces in over 40 nations, including Canada, France, Spain, Greece, India, Poland, and the U.S., including the U.S. Secret Service, some Navy Seals units, and the Federal Protective Service. That was one of the most convincing reviews for me to buy it. I even added an RMR and mount to it.

I only have SS197 rounds.

I just wonder if it's adequate for self defense.

I'd say it is as long as you hit where you're aiming. A good hit with a .22lr is better than a miss with a .500 Magnum ,just saying .
