The local sheriffs department has experienced a large number of striker problems with their service weapons. This problem has been reported by private Glock owners but was blamed on the ammo being used according to Glock. This problem continued until Sheriff Bradshaw made Glock aware of his problem. http://www.guns.com/2013/05/14/flor...ts-problems-with-glock-service-pistols-video/
The major problem that I see is not the metal fatigue, or whatever is the cause, but the reply Glock gave to the civilians that reported the problem. Now that a PD has made a complaint they send a Glock Representative to investigate. I experienced the same thing when I reported my Glock failure to them and their reply was; not a gun problem but an ammo problem....when in fact it was proven that the failure had nothing to do with the ammo. The weapon fired before going into full battery.
