I've watched several videos on gun cleaning. I'm curious what the consensus around here is on a couple issues...

Hoppe's #9, Break Free CLP, Ballistol... which is best? Or is there something else better?

Cotton swabs vs. sponge swabs. Pros/Cons?

Looking forward to the expert's opinions.

I'm going to be in the minority on this, but I like Gunzilla.

I have a drawer full of cleaning items and use different ones on different guns.
Too many to mention.

CLP Breakfree is my choice since first getting it issued to us in the Marines back in '81. You couldn't even buy in in the Exchange. By '82 we could. Another 2-3 years and we started seeing it retail in Jacksonville, NC. BTW: I'm a factory certified XD/XDM armored. It's all I use on my firearms.
