    The MG42 has always impressed me with it's 1200 + rds per minute.
    Buzz saw is an apt description.

    Great video! So I am to assume one the hot barrel was cooled down, it could be re-used over and over?

    That is correct...MG barrel could be hot swapped...and left to cool while another was swapped in.

    Cyclic rate was so quick a barrel would almost melt or start cooking off rounds...

    The US made M60 owes some of it's features to the MG42...
