A buddy of mine works ( cuts and fabricates ) plastics, acrylics, polycarbonates and bullet resistant (BR) products.

I've been given four 1 1/2 inch thick "hunks" measuring one foot wide by three foot high to test ballistic strength/durability.

I plan to use the following criteria and calibers for the test:

Distance from target: ( pistol calibers )...10 yards

Distance from target: ( rifle calibers )...25 yards

Calibers ( pistol )

9mm FMJ
9mm HP
.38spec FMJ
.357mag HP
.45acp FMJ
.45acp HP

Calibers ( rifle )

.223rem FMJ
.223rem HP
7.62x39mm FMJ
7.62x39mm HP

(shotgun)

12 gauge birdshot
12 gauge buckshot
12 gauge slug

I will include the brand names in the test results.

Stay tuned...
