The only problem with this is that it is a Red Herring.
It isn't the federal government that is blocking the states from allowing us our 2nd Amendment rights. It is the other way around.
It is states like California, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Illinois and the District of Columbia that have been assiduously withholding our 2nd Amendment rights while it is the US Supreme Court (a branch of the federal government) that has ordered that our rights be restored.
The US Constitution is a document of the federal government, and SCOTUS is a branch of the federal government. I believe that, if not for the federal government, most of us would not be allowed to own guns today.
