Well, it was 1 a.m. and the dogs were doing their "intuder in the yard" bark. So, I grabbed the LCR and got the HiPoint carbine with the light/laser combo on it. Figured it might be a javelina tusker annoying the dogs. The motion laights were on and there was something hunkered down by the dog's favoriter oak tree near he road. Called all the dogs. All animals were accounted for, cats too.

Didn't want to get too close cause it might be a skunk. Doesn't help that I can't see well. I put the laser on it and let an FMJ rip. No movement, but alot of bleeding, kinda pouring out. Then the smell of gasoline hit me. What a dumb azz. I just killed my GAS CAN!!!!

I had put it there earlier in a hurry cause I was running out of light and had to refill the mower whichwas @ 50 yds away. I had left the can @ 25 yds from the house in the grass by the tree and road. I hit it kinda high, so Ididn't lose much gas. At least I know my laser is zeroed.

I went to the eye specialist today. Not cause of last night. I already had an appt. I had to pay 6 bills for the doctor to do his thing on my failing lleft eye. Looks like a tissue transplant behind the cornea this time. Last 2 times it was on the front of the cornea. Firsrst one only lasted 4 months. Second wasn't worth a crap and I was already out @ 7 bills + what medicare paid. I hope this one works better and doesn't need a second try. He said he may clean up some of the scar tissure on the cornea with a laser later. I'm sure that will cost too.

If all that fails, the full cornea transplant comes next. Guess that could be another year. I been fuggin' with this problem since last August. Already had gluacoma dn retinopathy. Then I damaged the cornea and started an infection with a mesquite limb while cutting brush Aug. of 2013. He also said some of the healing problems may be hereditary. My dad had the same problems and had a cornea transplant to correct it. He said it should have healed up with the first 2 grafts he did. So, I am at risk for totally loosing in the eye even if I go all the way wit.

Surgery date is Oct. 20. Gotta heal fast cause I have a weekend at the gunshow at the end of that week, Oct 26. I will have to stay laided out in bed for 2 days, so we have to stay in a motel. Distance to and from Dr. is 70 miles and the travel was not advised. I will be able to make the show, but someone will have to move my guns and stuff for me. No lifting over 5 lbs. for 2 weeks from the surgery. Guess I will have to sell everything. $ is much lighter to carry. However, I always wind up buying something lelse, usually more than I take.:D
