Hey guys picked up an xd 40 with a 4" barrel. Shooting Tula ammo, for some reason when I fire it it hits low, about 5:00, I switch to my girlfriends shield and it basically hits where I point. I'm not a professional. I've shot 200 rounds through it so far. Am I compensating the recoil? I don't want to change sights until I'm certain it's not just my own fault. Anyone else have any problems like this?

Welcome to the XDForum.

It's difficult to give answer by posting and not seeing you shoot.
Here's some ideas.

I recall reading in my XD manual that these pistols are designed to use the "6 oclock sight picture". If I can explain it correctly, the tip of the front sight would be held on the bottom of the bullseye circle instead of in the middle of the bullseye circle.

Try shooting it from a stationary bench rest and see what kind of results you get.

You could be jerking the trigger instead of squeezing it.

Get rid of that trashy Tula ammo and get some quality rounds.
I only use Tula in my AK47 but it shoots anything and you don't really have to aim, just spray..

I'll try the stationary bench idea. It wouldn't be bad if I was consistently off but I just don't like that I'm all over the paper. Planning on getting some bulk ammo soon.
