Luckily, here in Oklahoma, law enforcement officers are generally quite supportive of lawfully-armed citizens. The relationship between officers and citizenry is a strong one... generally based on respect (we trust each other!). Some states have a much worse situation, and I'm happy to be right here.

The Police here in Portland anyway seem very supportive of legally carried guns,at least most are. Even though according to my son him and his friends were given a hard time by a Deputy Sheriff about their long guns they were using for hunting,saying he could fine them for having the guns without a permit and them not having the chambers open. I told my son they didn't need a permit for long guns and he said they told the Deputy that but the Deputy argued with them about it,the Deputy obviously didn't know the law.
