I'm not a fan of Plus P loads in the .45 Auto myself. The reason being is that I have killed a number on animals in the 150/220 pound range with this cartridge using standard loads. I have yet to recover a bullet, all shots were thru and thru with the animals expiring in short order. These were at distances ranging from 6 to 20 yards. It is also worth noting that none, repeat, none went down when shot. None showed any sign on being shot other that to rapidly exit the area.
