I know it's a new hunting season, but here's my 2011 deer harvest.
I almost got one on my way into the office this morning. The deer are out of control in my area.
PA whitetail season (centerfire ) starts Nov 26th thru Dec 8th...I go out every year.
Right now in PA...
SQUIRRELS, Red, Gray, Black and Fox (Combined): Oct. 13-Nov. 24; Dec. 10-24 and Dec. 26-Feb. 23 (6 daily, 12 possession).
All the above were taken with a GAMO Whisper break barrel springer in .177
I always seem to be alone when deer or small game hunting so I never get any field pictures. Here are a couple of "bigger deer" i got when I had company.
Wow...nice racks !!
I'm like you Jim, I hunt by myself.
Shooter, squirrel, buscuits and gravy. Do I need say more!
nice for sure all of them
How about a "vintage" photo:
Me about 1965 bowfishing behind the cottage in Port Austin, Mi.
Bowfishing...now that's something I haven't tried !!
Do they make special arrows that you attach the line to or what !?
Inquiring minds want to know Jim ...
I did once. I was doing ok till I poked a hole in the bottom of the boat with the arrow. They wouldnt let me go after that.
They sure do Shooter. It has really taken off as part of the bowhunting industry. Fancy bow mounted reels and special arrows and fishing heads.
Back then it was pretty primitive as not too many people were doing it .I just taped a wooden block to a junker glass recurve and wound the line around the block. It was slow to rewind, but worked well enough. The arrows were available then. Solid fiberglass with a hole drilled through the back end so you could tie line on it.
It was and is a lot of fun.
Thanks Jim !!
Me either. I need to find a lefty setup and have not found one for someone just getting started.
