Talon Grip Tape
Even though my grip tape is not here yet for the XD-S, I want to suggest that if you have never tried Talon, you should do so. I prefer the rubber texture over the sand paper, and have it on a couple of Glocks. Makes for better grip on the sub compacts. Just thought I would throw this out here as a first post in this section.

Here's mine with the rubberized Talons installed. I can't speak highly enough of the product or the service I've gotten from Derik @ Talon. I've been running their sandpaper grips for years, but this is the first "tiny" gun I've ever purchased specifically for concealment...I didn't want the the sandpaper to tear up my skin and my clothes.
I can say without equivocation that this is one of the very best mods you can do to your gun. Super grippy, with the comfort level of a Hogue grip sock without the huge amount of added girth.

The goofy LED camera flash makes everything look really light - the grips are not that grey looking in person. Maybe only a shade or two lighter than the polymer. Here's one without the flash on for comparison.

I'll post pics. Might be a slight delay since I havent settled on the large or small backstrap yet and it looks like I need to decide that before applying the Talon grips. I need to get more lead down the pipe with the small one, but I am leaning torwards large. I should also mention, both my wife and 2 of my 3 daughters shoot my XD9, and shoot it well , and I am hoping the Talon grips only help them shoot better.

Four shooters with one gun. Pretty hard to match everybody's grip! You might be able to apply the tape to the front and sides of the grip and apply another strip to the backstraps. Then you could change backstraps without disturbing the tape. Just a thought.I'll post pics.
