I've had to switch to the small backstrap on my XDm, both the 9mm and 45. So I can't afford any more size. The stock checkering does a great job of helping you keep hold of the gun, but it sure eats your hands up after a while. I may try that tape. Look forward to seeing your pics!

I'll post pics. Might be a slight delay since I havent settled on the large or small backstrap yet and it looks like I need to decide that before applying the Talon grips. I need to get more lead down the pipe with the small one, but I am leaning torwards large. I should also mention, both my wife and 2 of my 3 daughters shoot my XD9, and shoot it well :D, and I am hoping the Talon grips only help them shoot better.
Four shooters with one gun. Pretty hard to match everybody's grip! You might be able to apply the tape to the front and sides of the grip and apply another strip to the backstraps. Then you could change backstraps without disturbing the tape. Just a thought.

yea that mag is loaded with Hornaday Zombie Max :p lol
the are the same as the crital defense wich is my normal carry round, but local range and these on sale
Similar to Critical Defense, but not quite the same. The Critical Defense have a red material with a slightly round tip in the end of the FTX bullet. The Zombie Max has a white material with a fairly flat tip in the end of the Z-Max bullet. Not sure what the difference is between the materials. Their published ballistic info is very similar. The Critical Defense has a nickel plated casing vs plain brass for the Zombie Max.

I hope you were shooting Zombie targets. The Hornady site is very specific about using those rounds ONLY on Zombies! http://www.hornady.com/store/9mm-Luger-115-gr-ZMAX/

All the different caliber Zombie Max rds I have come with a green material tip, that's how I recognized thepunk88's.

Both the Critical Defense and Zombie Max tips are polymer, just one red, one neon green.

Sorry about that. thepunk88's pic was pretty bright and it looked white to me. Looked closer just now and I can see the green tint.

The bullets look pretty similar to me except for the color. The scoring for the hollow point looks a little shorter on the Z-max than the FTX. On my Critical Defense rounds the scoring extends about half way from the end to the OD near the casing. This looks like about 1/3 of the way.
