Kinda stupid law...

You gotta to have a Concealed Carry License to Open Carry in TX...correct !?

Here in Pennsylvania...Open Carry ( without a License ) has been the law of the land for decades... ( repeat...no license. )

To Conceal Carry...you have to apply for an LTCF ( License To Carry Firearm )...good for 5 years @ $19.

In Illinois you have to pay $10 for a FOID card good for ten years and $150 for concealed carry good for 5 years. And you have to provide finger prints so there's another charge. Can't wait to retire and get the hell out of this state.

Wha??? in Texas finger printing is part of the process as well and a very extensive Background check - when I took my CHL back in 97 - it was
one day Class
one day Field

And that was when you had to file your own paper work and etc...

Now a days it's consolidated to 6 hours to be honest I do no think that is enough time for a "Novice" to carry - usually what ends up happening - they get the CHL - and they leave it in the vehicle
