My question here is which do you think is more Reliable for a carry weapon or maybe equal.

Glock or Sig sauer.

Now I carry both and I hear a lot of chatter on this both on the internet and at different ranges.

So lets hear your thoughts/opinions on the subject.

I own both...a SIG P226 in 9mm and a Glock 30SF in .45acp.

I carry the Glock on my hip everyday...because it is lighter and packs

more of a wallop. That said, the SIG is also a great tool...just a bit much

to carry around...I know this, because for years, I did carry it.

I hear ya on the bit to much with sigs I carry a p220 ss elit a lot 3lbs loaded.
I do like the g30 and 23 carry those also. my 1911's I carry are a little lighter themn the P220 I carry.

That glock 30 is a nice piece, once this shortage and panic gets over with I plan picking up a gen 30.

OP states reliable, I would say Sig.
Also didn't state concealed.

Neither of the two is a real good choice for concealed.

OH OH...I beg to differ 3T...my G30SF packs very well...

...and is just as reliable as my SIG...truely !! :D

That's fine, personal choice.

I will take my XDS 45 over both of those for concealed.

How do like the new XD-S? I have two of them I pocket carry one for back up all the time now. A lot of people have been having trouble with them. Mine both have well over a thousand rds thru them and have been flawless.

OH BTW I too think the g30 makes a pretty good carry weapon. But them your talking to a guy that carries full size weapons most of the time.

I'd say an Gen 2 Glock or West German Sig would be a toss up. That being said I've seen a Gen 4 Glock 40s&w break on a LEO at the range with less than 500rds (had to go back to armorer resason unknown) and a co-woker have FTF an brass hit him between the eyes almost every shot. I haven't heard (Sig owners I know) of any problems, just the internet ones

What do I know , I carry a 1911 Officer's:rolleyes:
