Which Gun Lubes / Oils do you use...

I'm also a fan of the Break Free CLP and have been using Bore Snake "Venom" as a final wipe down and finish up with a light coat of Birchwood Casey Barricade for rust protection.

Just plain old RemOil.

Rem Oil for cleaning and wipe down with same oily rag I use for my woodworking tools

Recently switched to Frog Lube and will never look at another product again......EVER. I have some amazing before after pictures on a cerakoted gun that really show how well it works. Shows things you simply won't see on a stock black gun.

I bought an 8 oz bottle of liquid and an 8 oz tub of paste over a year ago...

and still have enough for another year...at least !

I use Italian Gun Grease,and I swear by it! I know we all have the "best one" but this one ended my long search for a superior lubricant.Every firearm I've used it on has had great improvement in long lasting lubrication,and it doesn't take much,a little goes a long way.Check it out,here is a link:

I use Gunzilla for general cleaning and lubing, and a tiny amount of Gun Butter on slides.

I use whatever i have handy. Rem oil is often around as the spray can is convenient, clp is an old standby and it's easy to drop one of the small squeeze bottles in the range bag. I've used motor oil in the past, when i had nothing else, and couldn't tell the difference between it and any high tech expensive lube. I do like Slide glide grease for handgun slides and M1 actions, but again, i think i like the name and the handy little containers it comes in, bearing grease from the local big box seems to work just as well.

I'm easy, if it's slippery and not water based, it's good to go

I use Tetra Gun grease on the slides and Rem oil most everywhere else.

Many years ago a retired Marine Corps Gunny who had been an armorer most of his career told me to always use grease on auto slides, and especially on stainless slides, because grease stays put better than oil during firing, and if stainless is run dry it's more likely to gall than standard steel.

My Grandfather swore by Hoppe's being from the Eastern Seaboard where corrosion is everyday. The rest of my family used Hoppe's as well. So thats what I use on my long guns. However I only use wd40 on my pistols. During firing it dries out but it still stays smooth enough not to allow any carbon build up... But I do clean prior to range time & immediately after...

I was taught "if it slides, grease it, if it rotates, oil it".

if stainless is run dry it's more likely to gall than standard steel. That needs to be repeated often! My personal choice is Hoppes cleaners and oils.

Hoppe's Elite for cleaning. On pistols use Breakfree LP. On revolvers and my Browning Buckmark use Rem Oil. Birchwood Casey Barricade for my wipedown cloth.

Anyone have any experience with SBGO ~ Silver Bullet Gun Oil? We had a lot of this floating around for use in Iraq & Aghanistan... perhaps just the hype, but seemed to work pretty well. I was brought up with Breakfree and Hoppe's...

I use Rem Oil or CLP on all my personal firearms, the shops firearms as well as the customers firearms.

XD, I'm not trying to pick a fight but, I've been told for a long time to not let WD40 any where near any firearm!
