    With everything I've seen and read about and with my own, Springfield has a winner with the XD models (all of them) and I believe they are destined to be classics.

    Based on info from this site (and others) I ordered an XD 40 sub compact just before Christmas. Since I was out of town for the holidays I haven't yet had a chance to take it to the range, hopefully this weekend I will. Many thanks for all the info from the great folks here.
