The first round of Mod.2 pistols shipped with XD mag X-tensions. They have since replaced them with Mod.2 specific mag X-tensions.

The updated service (4") XD Mod2 has been released since that article was written... so the article itself must be at least three years old.

Still, I agree that the article itself is an honest evaluation.
