My experience with the mag release agrees with the review. A little more detail.. the empty 7 round mag drops clean with a bit of thumb or trigger finger side pressure. With cartridges in the mag it takes excessive thumb pressure and the trigger finger side release is way to stiff to work for me. The 8 round mags are the same, but additionally you have to remember to release your grip (open your pinky and back off your bottom palm) on the extend mag base pad to allow it to drop. Releasing your grip during a mag release takes a bit of getting used to.
