Will 147 grain 9mm have less recoil? My xd9 is 4" and polymer and has more recoil than I like. Before I put in a Steele guide rod and 24 lb recoil springs I was told to try 147 gr bullets

Just purely from an action/reaction standpoint, I would think the more mass being propelled the more recoil there would be; lighter slugs should result in less recoil.

In general, the fewer grains a bullet has, the less recoil one will feel.
