Nice! Bad news is it's take about 6 months for new releases to show up at your LGS.

Do you think someone could make one of these?
Storm Lake Conversion Barrel Springfield XDs . 45 ACP to 9mm Luger 1 in 16" Twist 3.3" Stainless Steel
That would be awesome.

I think that the difference in case head diameters and bolt/slide face support might predclude trying to support the small 9mm round with the .45ACP slide. I am not sure how a 9mm mag could be adapted to fit and function in the .45 ACP frame. 9mm would also require a much lighter recoil spring than the one used in the .45.

my question still is , why do you want a 9mm when u can have a 45 ? maybe i dont understand it , when xd were first out , iam talkin when all u could get was a 9mm service model , all the talk was , when will u bring it out in 45acp, well finally they did , now its in reverse for the xds models, hahahha oh well ill stick to the 45 platform, myself, not that theres anything wrong with 9's i owned plenty of them and still do ,

My guess would be, size, style and quality of the Springer, plus there are many 9mm fans out there.

I like the size of the XDS and so does my wife but she hates shooting it.
Her next one will be either the XDS in 9 or the Shield, which every I can get a hold of first in the shop.
