Welcome to the XD Forum luckycuss !! You didn't describe the malfunction(s) you were having...
FTE ( failure to extract ), FTF ( failure to feed )...etc
As 3T points out, a firm grip usually fixes the problem, because a loose grip
doesn't allow the inertia from recoil to properly eject and strip a new round from the magazine.
